surfing class at the Newport pier in southern california during the month of May?

It meets at the newport pier in the afternoon….surfboards are provided, but no wetsuits….although I wouldn’t want to wear someone elses wetsuit anyways….so i was wondering the water temp would be enough to get away with a rashguard…cause rashguards are alot cheaper than wetsuits, and I really don’t want to buy one just yet….so…rashguard okay?
